When: Sunday, March 6th, 9am-3pm
Where: Historic Christ Church, 118 North Washington Street, Old Town Alexandria, VA
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is Pledge for Parity. We hope you will join us in pledging to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, challenge biases, call for gender-balanced leadership, and create an inclusive culture where women and men’s contributions are equally valued.
The day will include:
9am: The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, the first women to hold the position of Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Americas, will speak at the Adult Forum.
10am: Rev. Jefferts Schori will deliver the sermon at the 10am church service.
11am–3pm: The International Women’s Marketplace will showcase the culturally-inspired art, jewelry, home decor, and more of women entrepreneurs from all over the world.
The Marketplace will be held in the Christ Church Auditorium. Special guests include Rev. Jefferts Schori, and the women from Empowered Women International and a Space of Her Own.
